731.02 PUBLIC VEHICLE LICENSE FEES.
   No such public vehicle shall be operated unless a license has been issued to the owner thereof and is in force. Each such license shall expire on December 31 for the year in which it is issued. In the event a license is issued after October 1 of any year, the fee shall be one-fourth; on or after July 1, one-half and on or after April 1, three-fourths of the annual fee. The license fees for each such public vehicle shall be as follows:
   (a)    Taxicab, fifty dollars ($50.00) per annum.
   (b)    Auto-for-hire, fifteen dollars ($15.00) per annum, and
   (c)    Driverless auto-for-hire, eight dollars ($8.00) per annum.
   Such fees shall be in addition to the fee required under the laws of the state of Ohio or of the United states upon all motor vehicles.
