For the purpose of this chapter, the following terms shall have the meanings herein assigned:
(a) “Pinball machine” includes pinball machines, marble games and similar amusement devices operated by the insertion of a coin, disc or other object, or by the payment of any charge to the exhibitor or his agent or employee, and which register or may register a score after such insertion. Included in this definition and within the purview of this chapter are all electronic and video games. Such definition shall not include coin-operated vending machines, music machines, motion picture machines or other machines or devices used solely and in a bona fide manner for the vending of food, merchandise or service.
(b) “Distributor” includes any person who owns, maintains, sells, leases, rents or otherwise distributes one or more pinball machines within the City.
(c) “Exhibitor” includes any person who operates, displays or exhibits one or more pinball machines within the City. (Ord. 16-1981. Passed 5-4-81.)
