No person licensed hereunder as a retailer of alcoholic liquor shall sell, permit to be sold, exchange for a thing or things, or give away any alcoholic liquor between the hours of two o'clock (2:00) A.M. and nine o'clock (9:00) A.M. of any day with the exception of Friday night, Saturday night, and nights prior to any holidays when the closing hours for those nights shall be three o'clock (3:00) A.M. During such closed period of time, the premises licensed may be kept open, but no alcoholic liquor may be sold to the public during those closed hours. Limited catered retail sales or service of alcoholic beverages off premises shall occur solely between the hours of eleven o'clock (11:00) A.M and twelve o'clock (12:00). (1977 Code § 5-1-10, amd.
