A. The Village shall comply with the provisions of any other state law with respect to allowing the public inspection and copying of information or documents otherwise containing all or any portion of an individual's social security number.
B. The Village shall redact any social security number from the information or documents to be inspected before allowing the public inspection or copying of the information or documents.
C. The Village shall take steps to make any social security number provided to the Village easily redactable from any such documents.
D. For purposes of these regulations, "redact" means to alter or truncate the applicable data so that no more than five (5) sequential digits of a social security number are accessible as part of personal information. (Ord. 1207, 6-27-2011)
