The provisions of the 2011 national electrical code are hereby deleted, modified, and amended as follows:
A. Underground Service; Exceptions:
1. All service shall be underground; except that in existing subdivision areas already served overhead, an overhead service drop may be used, provided it is not greater than one hundred thirty five feet (135') in length or is specifically approved by the Building and Zoning Officer.
2. Revised or new utility distribution shall be underground unless overhead distribution is specifically approved by the Village Board.
3. Utility distribution shall be underground for all new installations in subdivisions and planned developments.
