7-9-2: NUISANCE DECLARED; PROHIBITIONS; EXEMPTIONS:
The location or presence of any inoperable motor vehicle on any lot, tract, parcel of land or portion thereof, occupied or unoccupied, improved or unimproved, within the Village shall be deemed a public nuisance, and it shall be unlawful for any person to cause or maintain such public nuisance by wrecking, dismantling, rendering inoperable, abandoning or discarding his vehicle on the property of another or public property or to suffer, permit or allow the same to be placed, located, or maintained or to exist upon his own real property or any premises leased or occupied by him; provided, that this chapter shall not apply to: (1977 Code § 10-2-8; amd. 2004 Code)
   A.   A vehicle or part thereof which is completely enclosed within a building in a lawful manner where it is not visible from the street or other private or public property;
   B.   A vehicle or part thereof which is stored or parked in a lawful manner on private property in connection with the business of a licensed vehicle dealer or a vehicle on the premises of a licensed business engaged in wrecking or junking of vehicles, if such businesses are otherwise permitted by the ordinances of the Village; or
   C.   Historic vehicles over twenty five (25) years of age. (1977 Code § 10-2-8)
