A. Obedience Required: Every person shall obey the instructions of any official traffic control device thereto placed in accordance with this chapter, unless otherwise directed by a law enforcement official, subject to the exceptions granted the driver of an authorized emergency vehicle in this title. B. Avoiding Traffic Control Devices Prohibited: It is unlawful for any person to leave the roadway and travel across private property to avoid an official traffic control device. (1977 Code § 10-8-3)
