It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation, or civic or social group using any Village park or any Village right of way or any other Village property either to perform or permit to be performed any of the following acts:
A. Damage To Property:
1. Wilfully mark, deface, disfigure, injure, tamper with or displace or remove any tables, benches, fireplaces, railings, paving or paving material, signs, fences, playground or exercising equipment or any other Village property or utilities, whether temporary or permanent whatsoever, either real or personal. (1977 Code § 8-7-12)
2. Cut, break, or in any way deface any tree, shrub, plant, turf, or any of the buildings, fences or bridges, lamps or posts, or other structures or property within any Village park or on any Village right of way or on any other Village property. (1977 Code § 8-7-9)
B. Pollution Of Water:
1. Throw, discharge or otherwise place or cause to be placed in the water of any pond, lake, stream, marsh, or natural impoundment area or drainage ditch in or adjacent to any Village park, right of way or other Village property or in any tributary or in any drain flowing into such water, or in, on or upon any Village park, right of way or other Village property, any matter or things, liquid or solid, which will or may result in the pollution of said water or the interference with drainage.
2. Discharge or drain any stormwater into the water of any pond, lake, stream, marsh, or natural impoundment area or drainage ditch in, on or adjacent to any Village park, right of way or other Village property or any tributary or drain flowing into such water, or in, on or upon any Village park, right of way or other Village property other than in the course of its natural drainage. C. Dumping Garbage, Refuse And Sewage: Deposit, dump, throw, or place any rubbish, including tree, shrub or grass trimmings, or litter or junk of any kind, or discharge or drain any solid or liquid, other than stormwaters in the general course of their natural drainage, in or upon any part of any Village park or upon any Village right of way or in or upon any other Village property. Paper, garbage, or refuse matter shall not be so deposited except in receptacles provided for that purpose. (1977 Code § 8-7-7)
D. Liquor; Glass Containers: Bring within, sell, give away or drink any intoxicating liquors in any Village park or on any Village right of way or on any other Village property; provided, however, that drinking of alcoholic liquor by adults shall be permitted in a Village park during the hours when such park is being utilized for a Village sponsored event and an event sanctioned by the Village if the liquor control commissioner has specifically authorized the drinking of such alcoholic liquor at such event. No glass bottles or containers shall be allowed in any such locations referred to above. (Ord. 1143, 5-28-2008)
E. Advertisements: Display any placard or advertisement of any kind in any Village park, nor distribute, cast, throw or place any handbill, pamphlet, circular, advertisement, or notice of any kind, nor post, stencil or otherwise affix any notice or bills, advertisements or other papers upon any structure or thing in any Village park or on any Village right of way or on any other Village property. (1977 Code § 8-7-8)
F. Disturbing The Peace; Profanity: Disturb the peace, or use any profane, obscene or blasphemous language.
G. Endangering Others: Endanger the safety of any person by any conduct or act.
H. Interfering With Others: Prevent or interfere with any person lawfully using any Village park or any Village right of way or other Village property.
I. Assault, Battery, Fighting: Commit any assault, battery or engage in fighting. (1977 Code § 8-7-12)
J. Presence In Restricted Areas: Enter upon any portion of any Village park or other Village property where persons are prohibited from going by direction of the Superintendent of Parks as indicated by a posted sign or notice or by a verbal order directed to such person or persons. K. Violation Of Rules And Regulations: Violate any rule for the use of any Village park, right of way or any other Village property made or approved by the corporate authorities. (1977 Code § 8-7-12; amd. 2004 Code)
