§ 156.105 STORM WATER, DRAINAGE, FLOOD CONTROL, BEST MANAGEMENT PRACTICES.
   (A)   The subdivider shall construct or install at his or her expense the approved storm water management, best management practice (BMP) and/or facilities, in accordance with plans submitted as provided in § 156.061(N).
   (B)   All storm drain facilities shall be designed to convey the flow of surface water without damage to persons or property to minimize off-site impacts. The subdivision agent may require detention of storm water on-site in accordance with applicable best management practices or state regulations. The system shall ensure drainage away from buildings, water wells and on-site waste disposal sites. Drainage plans shall be consistent with local and regional drainage plans, including those of the Virginia Department of Transportation and Chesapeake Bay Preservation Act water quality objectives.
   (C)   Lots shall be laid out as to provide positive drainage away from all buildings. Drainage shall be designed so as to avoid concentration of storm drainage water from each lot onto adjacent lots and to avoid blockage of existing drainage patterns on adjacent properties.
