This chapter shall be known and may be cited as the "Subdivision Ordinance of Northampton County, Virginia" or as the "Subdivision Ordinance." The Subdivision Ordinance is authorized pursuant to the provisions of VA Code §§ 15.2-2240 et seq., as amended, and is intended to be used in conjunction with the Northampton County Zoning Ordinance, Northampton County Code ("NCC") §§ 154.001 et seq.; the Northampton County Comprehensive Plan; the Northampton County Erosion and Sediment Control Ordinance, NCC §§ 153.01 et seq.; Northampton County Wetlands Ordinance, NCC §§ 151.01 et seq.; the Northampton County Coastal Primary Sand Dune Ordinance, NCC §§ 152.01 et seq.; the Northampton County Ordinance to Provide for the Assignment of Names to Roads and Roads in Northampton County and the Posting of Road Signs and Building Numbers, and other applicable law.
