The Fire Chief, or his or her designee, shall perform fire investigations pursuant to I.C. 36-8-17. The Fire Chief, or his or her designee, is authorized to conduct an origin and cause investigation of all fires and explosions within the service district of the City of Noblesville Fire Department. It shall be unlawful for any person to impede the Fire Chief, or his or her designee, from conducting an origin and cause investigation.
