§ 70.01 DEFINITIONS.
   (A)   Whenever any words and phrases used herein are not defined herein but are defined in the Indiana laws regulating the operation of vehicles, and such definition therein shall be deemed to apply to such words and phrases used herein, except when the context otherwise required.
   (B)   For the purpose of this traffic code, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
   "COUNCIL." The Common Council of the city.
   "LOADING ZONE." A space reserved for the exclusive use of vehicles during the loading or unloading of passengers or property.
   "OFFICIAL TIME STANDARD." Whenever certain hours are named herein, they shall mean standard time or daylight saving time as may be in current use in this city.
   "POLICE OFFICER." Every officer of the municipal police department or any officer authorized to direct or regulate traffic or to make arrests for violations of traffic regulations.
   "TRAFFIC COMMITTEE." The Traffic Committee shall consist of the Police Chief, City Engineer, Street Commissioner, Plan Director and an appointee of the Common Council from their membership.
