The Volunteer Reserve Police Department shall conduct such activities as may be appropriate under the laws of the state and under the general direction and supervision of the Chief of Police. The Chief of Police acting in coordination with the Coordinator of the Volunteer Reserve Police Department shall determine the activities which, according to state law and the policies and ordinances of the city, are appropriate and necessary to the implementation of the objectives of the Department.
