§ 34.41 COMPOSITION AND TERM OF BOARD OF PARKS AND RECREATION.
   (A)   Upon the establishment of a Board, the terms of the members initially appointed shall be one, two, three, and four years. Thereafter as a term expires, each new appointment shall be for a four- year term. All terms shall expire on the first Monday of January, but an appointee shall continue in office until his successor is appointed. (I.C. 36-10-3-5(a))
   (B)   The Mayor shall make the appointments to the Board consisting of four (4) members and one (1) or two (2) ex-officio members. Members shall be appointed on the basis of their interest in and knowledge of parks and recreation, but no more than two (2) members may be affiliated with the same political party. Ex-officio members shall either be a member of the local school board selected by the school board, or a member of the library district selected by the library board, or from both entities.
