(A) Any person who fails to appear in response to a notice given as provided in § 70.016 or in response to any bond given for his or her appearance, to answer a violation of any of the provisions of this traffic code, shall be guilty of an offense against this section regardless of the disposition of the traffic violation he or she was so summoned or gave bond to appear and answer, and may be punished for such offense of not appearing, in the same manner and to the same extent as for the violation he or she was notified or gave bond to appear and answer, and such punishment may be in addition to the punishment given for such traffic violation.
(B) Any person failing to appear in answer to any notice or bond given for his or her appearance to answer a violation of any of the provisions of this traffic code shall have his or her bond forfeited and may be arrested on a warrant issued by the Municipal Judge, charging him or her with such failure to appear and be dealt with as herein provided.
