§ 36.007 RULES AND REGULATIONS.
   The Mayor, in consultation with the Chief of Police, shall prepare and may from time to time amend rules and regulations not inconsistent with state law, the codified ordinances or other ordinances or resolutions of Council, for the organization and government of the Police Department and the personnel and property thereof. When such rules and regulations and any amendments thereof have been approved by ordinance or resolution of Council and, having been so approved, have been placed on file in the office of the City Recorder and a true copy thereof having been placed on file at Police Department headquarters for the information of all members of the Department, it shall be unlawful for any member of the Police Department to violate or fail to comply with any such rule or regulation.
