Contract amendments which extend the terms of a contract pending negotiation of a new agreement may be signed by the Executive Director, so long as such contract extension is under substantially the same terms, except for the expiration date or termination provisions, until the succeeding contract is approved by the Board, if otherwise required by this chapter.
