Permits shall be issued by the Building Inspector if the work described in the application complies with all provisions of this and other municipal codes. The Building Inspector shall not have the power to grant variances or make exceptions and shall not issue a permit based upon any variance or exception except after written order from the Board of Zoning Appeals as provided in this Code.
