153.01 HOLIDAYS.
   (a)   Designated Holidays. The following days are designated as holidays for full-time employees: New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King Day, President’s Day, Good Friday (Non-Police Officers Only), Easter Sunday (Police officers Only), Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Day After Thanksgiving, Veteran’s Day, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day.
   (b)   Holiday Pay. All full-time employees shall receive eight hours of holiday pay at their current rate for such holidays as are in full force and effect. All full-time employees shall be governed by the following: When one of the above holidays falls on a Sunday, the next Monday will be observed as the holiday. When a holiday falls on a Saturday, the preceding Friday will be observed as the holiday. When Christmas Eve falls on a Friday, it shall be observed on the preceding Thursday. When Christmas Eve falls on a Sunday, it shall be observed on the next Tuesday. Any holiday that falls during any employee’s scheduled vacation shall not be counted as a day of vacation. Any holiday that falls during an employee’s sick leave shall not be counted as a day of sick leave. All full-time employees who are required to work during a holiday, shall receive pay at their regular rate plus one and one-half times their base rate for the hours actually worked. (Ord. 2023-09.
