The Department shall be composed of a Director of the Department of Historic Sites and Structures (“DHSS Director”), who shall be appointed by an affirmative vote of at least a majority of the members of Village Council. The DHSS Director may agree to serve without pay or be entitled to compensation as established by Council and may hold other employment with the Village. The DHSS Director shall be subject to removal for just cause by at least a four-fifths vote of the members of Council. Additional members of the Department may be appointed by the DHSS Director upon approval from Council for the creation o f such positions and serve under the supervision o f the DHSS Director.
