Before a permit to do blasting shall be issued, the applicant for such permit shall file a liability insurance policy in the sum of one million dollars ($1,000,000) for any accident, covering bodily injury, and wrongful death, and in the amount of one million dollars ($1,000,000) insuring against property damage of any nature caused by such blasting. Such policy shall be approved by the Law Director, and the policy or copy thereof shall be filed with the City Manager. The policy shall name the City as an additional insured.
