(a) Appointment and Term. The Building Inspector shall be appointed by the City Manager. His appointment shall continue during proper discharge of his duties and satisfactory management of the Building Department. He shall not be removed from office except for cause after full opportunity has been given him to be heard on a specific charge or charges.
(b) Acting Building Inspector. During temporary absence, specific instances of conflict of interest, or disability of the Building Inspector, the City Manager shall designate an Acting Building Inspector.
(c) Reports. The Building Inspector shall report to the City Manager once each month or more often if requested, including statements of permits and certificates issued, and orders promulgated.
