1113.16 FIRE PROTECTION.
   Fire hydrants shall be provided by the developer. The hydrants should be located between property lines and curbs with all outlets facing or parallel to the street. Hydrants shall be placed at the corners of all blocks and at mid-block for blocks exceeding five hundred feet in length. Hydrants shall also be required at the entrance and end of all cul-de-sacs. Should a cul-de-sac exceed 500 feet, hydrants should not be placed at intervals less than 500 feet. The type of hydrant and control valves and the location of the hydrant shall be approved by a representative of the City Water Department. The minimum size of any water line serving any hydrant shall not be less than eight inches in diameter and should be a circulating water line. The size and location of water lines should be approved by a representative of the City Water Department, and the Ohio Inspection Bureau for commercial and industrial subdivisions. The cost to construct the fire protection fire hydrant system shall be borne by the developer of the subdivision.
