(a) Public sidewalks, along both sides of all public streets shall be required for residential subdivisions. The City of Newton Falls will not accept the control or maintenance of the roadway until all public sidewalks are constructed and in place.
(b) Public sidewalks shall be required for all commercial and industrial lots in a subdivision that front on public thoroughfares.
(c) All sidewalks shall be constructed with a minimum four foot width placed a minimum of five feet to the front edge of the sidewalk from the curb. Sidewalks shall be poured to a minimum depth of four inches of Portland cement concrete, with an increase to six inches at all driveway crossings. Wheelchair ramps shall be provided in all street intersections. Sidewalks shall meet all the requirements of ODOT specifications for item number 608.
(d) Sidewalks and wheelchair accessible ramps will meet the American Disability Act Accessibility Guidelines (ADAAG) as periodically revised.
