§ 32.140 FILING DEADLINE EXTENSION; MEDICAL EMERGENCY.
   Any of the above referenced filing deadlines shall be extended due to a medical emergency. A medical emergency for the purpose of this article is a medical condition that the person responsible for meeting the filing deadline personally has which makes it impossible for that person to meet the filing deadline. Examples if what might constitute a medical emergency is non-scheduled surgery, emergency room visit due to automobile accident or coma. If a medical emergency exists, the person responsible for meeting the filing deadline shall have an additional five calendar days after the medical emergency no longer exists to file an appeal.
