§ 156.134 FLOODPLAINS.
   (A)   In the event all or portions of a proposed subdivision lie within a floodplain zone or a floodplain zone as defined by the Zoning Ordinance of the city, or by a flood insurance rate map published by the Federal Insurance Administration, such areas shall be illustrated on the preliminary plat. The existence of floodplain area(s) within the proposed subdivision shall also be noted on the face of the final plat.
   (B)   A floodplain development permit shall be issued by the Public Works Director prior to any development of the property in the flood plain, including but not limited to grading, paving, excavation or construction of capital improvements. Every lot created by the subdivision must provide adequate buildable space located entirely outside of the floodplain.
