§ 31.045 APPOINTMENT.
   At its first meeting in January following the regular city election, the Council shall appoint, by majority vote, a City Clerk and one or more deputy City Clerks to serve for terms of two years each. Upon the occurrence of a vacancy in the position of City Clerk or deputy City Clerk, the Council shall fill such vacancy by majority vote to fill out any such term.
