§ 150.040 BOND REQUIRED.
   (A)   Any person filing an application for a house moving permit shall file with the Building Inspector a bond, approved as to form by the City Attorney, executed by a bonding or surety company authorized to do business in the state in the amount of $2,000 conditioned upon the assurance that this code and other applicable laws will be complied with. Such bond shall run to the city for the use and benefit of any person intended to be protected thereby and shall be conditioned on the payment for any damages or losses resulting from any malfeasance, misfeasance, non-feasance or negligence in connection with any of the activities or conditions upon which the permit applied for is granted.
   (B)   A cashier’s check or certified check payable to the city may be substituted for the bond required by this section, said check to be held by the City Clerk for the same purposes as specified for a bond.
