(A) A violation of any provision of this chapter shall be a municipal infraction punishable by a penalty as listed in § 10.99(A) of this code of ordinances.
(B) Alternatively, a violation of any provision of this chapter can be charged by a peace officer of the city as a simple misdemeanor punishable by a fine of at least $65 but not to exceed $625.
