(A) The Direction and Control of Government Operations from a central, protected facility with adequate communications and key personnel is essential to the conduct of Emergency Operations.
(B) In the City of New Prague, the Mayor and Council is responsible for providing overall Direction and Control of city government resources involved in the response to a disaster. The Mayor and Council will also serve as a liaison with Scott County Emergency Management. The Mayor and Council will also oversee the protection of essential records (tax records, vial statistics, and the like) for the continuing and/or reconstitution of city government. The computer records are backed up and copied regularly and paper records are secured.
(C) Direction and Control of the city’s response to a major disaster will take place from the New Prague Emergency Operations Center (EOC), which is located at the Fire Station, 118 Central Ave. North.
