For the purpose of this chapter, except where the context otherwise requires, the terms defined in this section shall have the meanings given them.
ASSEMBLY. Any public gathering of 250 or more individuals at any location at any single time for the purpose of musical, racing, political, promotional, or social entertainment or other similar type of activity, but shall not apply to:
(1) Any permanent place of worship, stadium, athletic field, arena, auditorium;
(2) Gatherings or activities otherwise permitted or licensed by other or regulations;
(3) Activities by persons operating under another permit or license issued by other state agency of the city. Other permit or license for purposes of this section does not include a permit or license issued by the Minnesota Department of Health; or
(4) Family celebratory gathering taking place entirely upon the premises of a family member.
ASSEMBLY AREA. The area within which the assembly activities are to take place.
CITY. City of New Prague in the State of Minnesota.
CITY ADMINISTRATOR. The New Prague City Administrator or a designee thereof.
CITY COUNCIL. New Prague City Council.
DOWNTOWN AREA. Shall include the area zoned specifically as the B-l Central Business District in the New Prague Zoning Ordinance.
INDIVIDUAL. Any person or persons, partnership, corporation, association, society, or group.
LICENSE. A license permitting a large assembly in New Prague.
LICENSED PREMISES. The entire area to be used by the applicant to conduct an assembly, including, but not limited to, the assembly area, vehicle parking areas, camping areas, and visitor waiting areas.
PERMANENT PLACE OF WORSHIP. A consistently and regularly scheduled permanent gathering location for any type of generally recognized and organized religious service.
PERSON. Any individual, partnership, corporation, association, society, or group seeking and/or receiving a license from the City of New Prague pursuant to the terms contained herein.
STATE. The appropriate office of the State of Minnesota charged with enforcement authority relating to the particular activity of the applicant or assembled individuals referenced within this chapter.
