The Planning Commission was established by the city pursuant to M.S. Chapter 462, as it may be amended from time to time, through its Zoning Ordinance in order to provide recommendations to the City Council and the City Zoning Administrator in the administration of the City Zoning Ordinance. The Planning Commission consists of five members as established in § 503 of the City Zoning Ordinance. The members of the Planning Commission shall serve four-year terms of office. The City Council shall appoint one of its members to serve on the Commission.
