(A) The Newport Police Department is authorized to establish bus stops in such places as he or she shall determine to be for the benefit and convenience of the public. Every bus stop on any street shall be designated by an appropriate sign or signs and each bus stop shall have an uninterrupted, continuous space of 80 feet, which shall be painted yellow.

(B) It is unlawful for the operator of any vehicle other than a bus to stand or park the vehicle in an officially designated bus stop, during the hours that buses are in operation.
