(A) For services rendered in their official elected capacity, the Mayor and each Commissioner shall receive compensation at the following rates effective January 1, 2004:
(1) Mayor, per annum: $21,397.
(2) Each Commissioner, per annum: $17,115.
(B) Pursuant to the provisions of KRS 83A.075, for each year, the salary of the Mayor and each Commissioner shall be automatically adjusted in accordance with the annual change in the Consumer Price Index, as determined by the state’s Finance and Administration Cabinet, as long as other City employees receive a raise in that year also.
