4-1-2: BUILDING PERMITS:
No person shall commence construction on any structure or building having a roof supported by columns, poles or walls and designed or intended for shelter, support, enclosure, or protection of persons, animals, or chattels, of two hundred (200) square feet or greater, until that person has first secured a building permit from the City building official, City Clerk or the designated official and has paid the required fee for the permit.
No person shall commence construction on, set, erect or install any structure, building or edifice which requires location on the ground or attachment to something having a fixed location on the ground, portable or nonportable, until that person has first obtained or has first secured a building permit from the City building official, City Clerk or the designated official and has paid the required fee for the permit. Structures include, but are not limited to, mobile homes, modular homes, carports, walls, billboards, houses, awnings, outbuildings and communication towers. (Ord. 339, 3-3-2014)
