(A) It is unlawful to open, operate, activate or draw water from a fire hydrant belonging to the City unless the fire hydrant is being operated by a fire crew suppressing a fire or a fire crew in training or unless the person operating the fire hydrant has first received written permission from the Public Works Superintendent of the City of New Plymouth.
(B) Water drawn from a fire hydrant or bulk water dispenser shall be metered and charged for as follows:
Resident/agriculture use | $ 2.00/1,000 gallons |
Resident/commercial use | 5.00/1,000 gallons |
Any other use | 10.00/1,000 gallons |
(C) Any person who violates this section shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and punished in accordance with the misdemeanor laws of the State of Idaho. (Ord. 334, 6-20-2011)
