(A) Information Confidential: Information collected by any law enforcement agency during the course of an investigation concerning a matter occurring in the City is confidential.
(B) Authorized Disclosures:
1. No information so collected shall be disclosed to any outside source, other than to other law enforcement agencies, the prosecuting attorney and the appointed prosecuting attorney for legitimate law enforcement reasons.
2. Any information collected herein shall be made available to the City Council or its agents or appointees at any time, for any reason. Such information, however, shall not be made public nor disclosed, except for legitimate law enforcement reasons or upon proper authorization obtained through court orders during related discovery.
(C) Violations: Any disclosures in violation of this Section shall be deemed a misdemeanor. (Ord. 179, 4-6-87)
