1-24-1: EMPLOYEE FILES:
   (A)   Files Are Confidential: All documents, memoranda or other information which is included, or intended to be included, in an employee's file is confidential.
   (B)   Authorized Disclosures: No information which is included in an employee's file shall be disclosed except in the manner and form following:
      1.   Confidential information contained within an employee's file may be used by that employee's supervisor or the City Council for job evaluation and other legitimate reasons connected to the employee's job performance.
      2.   Confidential information may be disclosed to third parties only upon written consent of the employee, or if the employee has requested another party to seek the information for job related purposes.
      3.   Nothing herein shall be intended to preclude the use of any confidential information by any appointed City officials or City advisors when needed for purposes of litigation, evaluating claims or evaluating potential litigation.
   (C)   Violations: Any disclosures in violation of this Section shall be deemed a misdemeanor. (Ord. 178, 4-6-87)
