6-12-11: PROHIBITED ACTS:
   (A)   In Residential Areas:
      1.   It shall be unlawful for any person to make, create or maintain any unreasonably loud, disturbing and unnecessary noise within the city. Noise of such character, intensity or duration as to be detrimental to the life, health, comfort or repose of an individual is prohibited.
      2.   It shall be unlawful to play any radio, phonograph or any musical instrument or operate a sound amplifying device within the city in such a manner or with such volume, especially during the hours between ten o'clock (10:00) P.M. and seven o'clock (7:00) A.M., as to annoy or disturb the quiet, comfort or repose of persons in any dwelling, hotel or other type of residence, except as more specifically set forth herein.
   (B)   In Nonresidential Areas:
      1.   It shall be unlawful for any commercial or industrial user, or any person in a commercial or industrial area, to create noises which when measured in any residential district exceeds sixty five (65) decibels during the daytime and twenty five (25) decibels during the evening or at night.
   (C)   In Any Area:
      1.   It shall be unlawful for any person in any area of the city to create a continuous noise which can be heard without the aid of amplification devices three (3) city blocks or more away from the location where the noise is being created. (Ord. 278, 9-16-2002)
