This chapter shall apply to all sales of personal property when sold from a private residence in a residentially zoned district. The sales are commonly referred to as yard sales, garage sales, rummage sales, porch sales, patio sales, attic sales, or go without name but are merely advertised in the local media or by word of mouth and are open to the general public.
