§ 27.02 DEPARTMENT OF ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT.
   (A)   The Town Council finds is necessary to finance economic development or pollution control facilities.
   (B)   The Town Council establishes a Department of Economic Development, to be controlled by a commission known as "New Palestine Economic Development Commission."
   (C)   After the adoption of this section, the Clerk-Treasurer is hereby authorized and directed to promptly notify the Hancock County Council in order to obtain 1 nomination for the New Palestine Economic Development Commission.
   (D)   Any officer of the town is hereby authorized and directed, for and on behalf of the town, to execute and deliver any instrument or take any other action as such officer determines to be necessary or desirable to accomplish the purposes of this section, such determination to be conclusively evidenced by such officer's having executed such instrument or having taken such action, and any such officer's having executed and delivered any such instrument or having taken any such action is hereby ratified and approved.
   (E)   One member of the New Palestine Economic Development Commission shall be appointed by the Town Council President, 1 member shall be appointed by the Town Council of the town, and 1 member shall be appointed by the Hancock County Council.
   (F)   The members of the New Palestine Economic Development Commission shall take office upon their appointment and the taking of an oath. Each Commissioner's term shall run from February 1st after their original appointment for a period of 3 years if the member is selected by the Town Council President, 2 years if the member is nominated by the Town Council and 1 year if nominated by the Hancock County Council.
