(A) Application for building permits shall be filed on forms provided, with any necessary exhibits or documents, and shall be accompanied by the filing fees herein specified. These fees shall be paid to the Building Commissioner who shall forthwith pay over such fees to the Clerk-Treasurer to the credit of the General Fund of the town, and no part of the fees shall be returnable to the applicant.
(B) Until all applicable fees have been paid in full, no action shall be taken on any application.
(C) The building permit fee shall be in addition to any hook-on or other connection charges or other fees charged pursuant to other town ordinances.
(D) As of January 1, 2019, the schedule of fees for permits, inspections and related items shall be as set forth below.

(E) Any person, firm, or corporation who constructs, alters, or repairs buildings or structures for profit within the town must apply for a certificate of registration. Subordinates are not required to be registered if the person, firm, or corporation in responsible charge of their performance is registered. The registeree shall file with the Clerk-Treasurer a copy of his state-issued license, if applicable to his trade; a good and sufficient surety bond in the sum as set by the Town Council from time to time for the faithful performance of the duties of the registeree; and a nonreturnable registration fee in an amount as set by the Town Council from time to time. Registrations shall be nontransferable and shall be issued on an annual basis beginning January 1 of each year. If the registeree shall fail to perform the duties and service of his trade in a workmanlike manner, or to the injury of or detriment to a resident of the town, or of any of its utilities, the registration shall be immediately revoked and action may be maintained on the bond for the workmanlike performance of duties.
(F) In the event that an application is denied and no permit issued, the sum for permit and inspection fees shall be returned to the applicant. In the event that a building permit is revoked, the sum for the permit and inspection fees shall be forfeited.
