(A) The Town of New Palestine Employee Handbook dated September 15, 2021, is hereby adopted as the official town handbook for employees for the Town of New Palestine, Indiana, as of the effective date of this section.
(B) All future amendments, if any, to the employee handbook are hereby authorized to be made by way of resolution.
(C) The provisions of the New Palestine Employee Handbook shall apply to all full-time and part-time employees of the town of New Palestine including members of the Police Department except to the extent where the Police Department Standard Operating Procedure Manual is in conflict in which case The Standard Operating Procedure Manual shall control. Any and all provisions of any ordinance or resolution heretofore adopted by the town in conflict with the Town Employee Handbook are hereby repealed, except for any conflicting provisions of the New Palestine Police Department Standard Operating Procedure Manual which shall control as set forth above. Town ordinances and resolutions not expressly covered by adoption of the Employee Handbook are not rescinded or superseded.
(D) A copy of the employee handbook adopted by virtue of this section and any amendments subsequent thereto shall be maintained in the Offices of the Clerk-Treasurer, the Town Manager, the Town Marshal, the Public Works Commissioner, and any future department officer created hereafter.
