(a) Curfew for Minors Under Fifteen. No minor under the age of fifteen years shall loiter, idle, wander, stroll or play in or upon the public streets, other public places, places of amusement and entertainment, vacant lots or other unsupervised places during the period from the hours of 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. from and including Sunday through Thursday and from 11:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. on Friday and Saturday. However, the provisions of this section do not apply to a minor accompanied by his parent, guardian or other adult person having the care of and custody of the minor, or where the minor is upon an emergency errand or legitimate business directed by his parent, guardian or other adult person having the care and custody of the minor.
(b) Curfew for Minors Under Eighteen. No minor under the age of eighteen years shall loiter, idle, wander, stroll or play in or upon the public streets, other public places, places of amusement and entertainment, vacant lots or other unsupervised places between the hours of 11:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m. from and including Sunday through Thursday, and from 12:00 midnight to 5:00 a.m. on Friday and Saturday. However, the provisions of this section do not apply to a minor accompanied by his parent, guardian or other adult person having the care and custody of the minor, or where the minor is upon an emergency errand or legitimate business directed by his parent, guardian or other adult person having the care and custody of the minor.
(c) Enforcement Against Parent, Guardian, Etc. The parent, guardian or person having the legal custody and control of any minor violating any of the provisions hereof shall be deemed to be responsible for the violation of the minor.
(d) Emergency Errand or Parental Direction. In all instances herein where a minor is excused from the provisions of this section by reason of an emergency errand or other legitimate business directed by the parent, guardian or other adult person having the care and custody of the minor, the minor shall have in his possession a dated written note, stating the circumstances and signed by the parent, guardian or other adult person having the care and custody of the minor. Otherside, the provisions of subsections (a) and (b) hereof shall apply.
(e) Whoever violates this section is guilty of a minor misdemeanor.
