151.05 STREET DEPARTMENT SUPERVISOR.
   (a)   The position of Street Department Supervisor is hereby established in the Village
   (b)   The Street Department Supervisor shall be responsible for overseeing, managing and directing the employees of the Village Street Department and shall be under the supervision of the Mayor and the Village Administrator and shall have the following duties and responsibilities:
      (1)   The Street Department Supervisor shall be responsible for the care and maintenance of streets, roads, alleys, and highways in the Village, including snow and ice removal from the Village streets, roads and highways, street and traffic lights or signals, street signs, traffic control signs, storm sewers, ditches, culverts, drains, sidewalks, parks, municipal buildings, property and other equipment of the Village, other than equipment for which the Village Police Department or the Village Fire and Emergency Squad is responsible, and for maintaining all inventories of equipment, materials and supplies for the Village. The Street Department Supervisor shall make periodic inspections of the streets, alleys, roads and highways in the Village and make monthly reports to the Mayor and Village Administrator, together with recommendations for the repairing, maintaining, altering, opening and vacating of such streets, alleys, roads and highways.
      (2)   The Street Department Supervisor shall be responsible for assuring that the all employees of the Village Street Department have all training or certifications required for each employee's position.
      (3)   The Street Department Supervisor shall perform such other duties as shall be assigned or prescribed by the Mayor or the Village Administrator.
      (4)   The Street Department Supervisor, in the absence of or at the direction of the Village Administrator, shall attend meetings of other governmental agencies or political subdivisions on behalf of the Village as necessary and shall represent the Village at such meetings.
