151.02 CLOTHING ALLOWANCE; SAFETY FORCES TRAINING EXPENSES.
   (a)   In addition to authorized compensation, the Village shall provide clothing allowance for newly appointed full-time patrolmen, which allowance shall be set by Council. The Village also agrees to pay one-half of the cost of approved dress uniforms purchased by members of the Volunteer Fire Department.
   (b)    The Village will pay for all training expenses approved by the Village Police Chief and, to the extent necessary as a result of the expenditure limits imposed on Village department heads, the Village Council.
   (c)   The Village will pay for all training expenses approved by the Village Fire Chief and, to the extent necessary as a result of the expenditure limits imposed on Village department heads, the Village Council.
   (d)   Any firefighter who resigns from or is terminated from the Village Fire and Emergency Squad or any police officer who resigns from or is terminated from the Police Department within two years of the completion of the date of the training or any firefighter or police officer who fails to actively participate as a member of the Fire and Emergency Squad or Police Department pursuant to guidelines established by the Fire Chief or Police Chief, shall be obligated to reimburse the Village for all monies expended for training.
   (e)   Any firefighter or police officer who fails to complete a training course or fails to pass any exam required by such training course within one year following completion of the course shall reimburse the Village for all monies expended for such training course and any amounts paid to the firefighter or police officer for reimbursement of expenses incurred in connection with the training course.
   (f)   The Fire Chief or Police Chief, as the case may be, is hereby directed to have all fire personnel and police officers execute a training agreement providing for the reimbursements set forth in this ordinance. No training expenses will be paid by the Village on behalf of any firefighter or police officer who has failed to fully execute a training agreement.
   (g)   The Village shall take whatever legal action necessary to enforce the provisions of the training agreement if a firefighter or police officer is no longer employed by the Village.
