145.07 MUTUAL EXCHANGE OF FIRE PROTECTION SERVICES.
   (a)   It is declared to be the policy of the Village to participate in the mutual interchange of fire department services with the political subdivisions and private fire companies located and doing business in Mahoning County, Ohio.
 
   (b)   The Mayor and the Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into agreements with the subdivisions herein mentioned whereby each agrees mutually to exchange fire department services and to answer fire and distress calls made by each to the extent such subdivision so called upon can reasonably do so without endangering the lives and property of the answering subdivision. The risk of loss and damage to equipment and of liability in the case of each call shall be borne by the subdivision whose department answers such call. There shall be no liability to such subdivision or its inhabitants when such call is not answered. Each subdivision answering such call shall pay its own expenses therefor. Such agreement shall be for such period as may be provided by law, and may be made either with each individual subdivision or with several or all of such subdivisions. The agreement shall be presented to Council for formal approval by resolution.
