Each member of the Police Department while in office shall submit regularly to a physical examination at least once every three years, the results of such examination to be filed with the Clerk-Treasurer. Expenses of each examination shall be borne by the Village, but this shall be limited to the examination only and not to any treatment necessitated thereby. However, after age fifty-five, such examination shall be had once a year until age sixty-five, or seventy, in the event that Council authorizes continued employment after sixty-five until age seventy.
