The members of the Police Department whether employed on a regular or part-time basis, shall retire on their sixty-fifth birthday. However, with the consent of Council, employment may continue after age sixty-five but in no event after the seventieth birthday. In all cases, each member of the Police Department shall retire at age seventy.
