(a) Any person who has been convicted of an offense other than a minor misdemeanor, pursuant to ordinance, and confined in the County Jail, shall reimburse the City for expenses incurred by reason of such confinement, including but not limited to, the expenses related to the provision of food, clothing and shelter. The amount of reimbursement shall be determined by a court at a hearing, pursuant to the Ohio Revised Code.
(b) The City Law Director may institute an appropriate civil action in the name of the City in the Court of Common Pleas of Perry County, Ohio, to recover from such confined person reimbursement for the expenses of the person’s confinement.
